(ENG) Special Interview with Raffa about Cesare Prandelli..

1) He usually worked in Italian clubs also the first time he's abroad. There's a new page for his career. What do u think about?
I think coaching Galatasaray is a good decision for Prandelli. He's always talked about his desires to coach abroad one day and now he will get that opportunity. While the Turkish league isn't one of the big leagues in Europe, Galatasaray are still a big club with high expectations every year. Plus, they will compete in the Champions League this season. Also, after the failures of Italy in the World Cup, I think it was best for Prandelli to pursue a coaching job outside of Italy, and going to Turkey is pretty far removed from Italy. I think he needed to get away from Italy, plus, there were no job openings in Italy with a "big club" (Juventus, Milan, Inter, Roma, Napoli) to make him consider staying in Italy.

2) What do you think about his Italian national career? As, know as Italian football are playing defence style but he changed them. Especially he's a big succes for EU2012 but unfortunately out of the group stage in WC2014.
I don't think you can consider Prandelli's time as Italy's coach a failure. Although, when it comes to Italy, everything matters at the World Cup and they did fail at it and part of it was Prandelli's fault, so that can't be overlooked. He did take over the National Team after Italy's failures in the 2010 World Cup and quickly helped fans regain confidence in the team. He made Italy into a more attacking and possession team, something new to Italian fans. This created a buzz around the team and made them more enjoyable to watch, it particularly was something pleasing for the younger generation of fans. Historically, Italy is a team that prides itself on playing defense and trying to score on the counterattack. Prandelli did have success with the National Team at the 2012 Euros when they had very little expectations going into it. He guided Italy to the final against a very good Spain team, and no one can really fault him for losing that game, Spain was simply on top of the world at the time. Prandelli's biggest downfall from the World Cup was his indecisiveness with Italy's lineup. You can't be experimenting with formations and lineups in the group stage of the World Cup, that needs to be worked out before the tournament starts.

3) What do you think about the relationship with footballer, also media staff or fans. After Mancini, Galatasaray fans are very exciting, they believe him very much because this year is very important. (Fenerbahce is the biggest rival and Galatasaray are both them 19th champions) the fans are waiting curiously, who will win the league.
Overall, I would say Prandelli is a well respected person by his former players, the media, and fans. He is a likable person with a good personality. I don't know much about how the media and fans are in Turkey, but I think Prandelli can adapt to them and the culture in Turkey. As you pointed out, this is a big year for Galatasaray and Fenerbahce as both are competing to reach that 20th championship first, so Prandelli will feel the pressure, but I think his calmness will help. Prandelli will have Wesley Sneijder on his team and he is a good attacking midfielder (known as a trequartista), which Prandelli will like to use in his formation.

Thanks for your thoughts.
It was a pleasure for me.
